Dry Bones

Jesus said “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…” (Matthew 25:35). In light of that command, several years ago the church teamed up with a ministry in Denver called DryBones. DryBones is an organization that helps homeless youth find food, jobs, support and faith. Every week they serve a warm, home cooked meal to an average of 75 homeless youth.

Thrive, our college and young adult ministry currently partners with DryBones on the third Thursday of every month. They shop for the ingredients, make the meal, reheat it as needed, thrive it downtown, and then help serve the meal to those in attendance.  They meet at the church at 5:45pm these nights and we’d love to have you join us!

All Stars Club

All Stars Club is a monthly game/activity/karaoke night for our friends with special needs and disabilities.

Several years ago the All Stars Club (led by Activ8 Sports) approached the church looking to partner to better serve those with special needs here in SW Denver. We could not be more excited about this partnership and friendship.

On the third Friday night of every month, All Stars Club and WBCC come together to host over 60 youth and adults for an evening of pure joy, madness, games, and lots of great karaoke

Peru

West Bowles Church has had a long and fruitful relationship with several churches in Peru.  We take serious Christ’s command to spread His word to the “ends of the earth” and we believe this is a powerful and practical way to do just that.

Last year Pastor Evert, our Peruvian missionary, told us about a huge need for a new clinic/school/church in a small community in Peru.  Above is a picture of the progress that has been made on the project. We are so excited to see what God has in store for Peru, and our partnership with Pastor Evert and other brothers and sisters in that place.

Juarez

WBCC has a heart for those in Juarez, Mexico.

Every year we take one or two trips to Juarez where we build a house and/offer medical assistance for the less fortunate in that city.  We also do a Christmas collection every year where we ask the church to fill over 200 shoeboxes with gifts, toys, supplies, and toiletries for the children in that area.

God is doing a great work in Mexico and we are honored to play a small part in it.
